Sudanese folktales, Printmaking,2018 Folktales are great tools to bring people together, beside raise the question of cultural diversity and identity in Sudan . My artworks investigate the role of Sudanese folktales in linking the cultural gap between the older and younger generation.  Sudan is a very diverse country and great place to experience different cultures. There are 19 major ethnic groups and over 597 ethnic subgroups speaking more than 100 languages and dialects, each ethnic group have unique folktales. Unfortunately just about 21 folktales had been collected and obviously these stories represent some of these ethnic groups. The outputs of the project will help to preserve these forms of stories that are starting to disappear. Hunak ,  Pen and ink, 2017  Hunak is a Locale publication. It is an exploration of separation, distance, and the utopias created to reconcile this loss. My art pieces are telling a story about the difficulties we run into as young Sudanese people who want to be connected to the world. As an artist, I want the world to see Sudanese art and talent. But this is really difficult when we are in isolation.

Sudan Untold/Retold, Pen and ink, 2017 Sudan Untold/Retold is the first graphic novel on Sudanese history. I participated as an illustrator with more than 20 Sudanese artists , writers and musician  coordinated by the Sudanese Cartoonist Khalid Wad Albaih .
